The Animal Husbandry Department consists of the departments of Animal Husbandry and Breeding, Feeds and Animal Nutrition, and Biometry and Genetics.

Our aim is to contribute by conducting scientific research and projects that can respond to the problems and expectations of regional and national animal husbandry. To train qualified engineers who are equipped with contemporary and practical knowledge that strives to catch up with the knowledge standards of developed countries, who have advanced research and problem-solving skills, who can lead their environment and who have communication skills. In addition, to create a department that has the infrastructure to produce local, national and international projects that will contribute to animal husbandry and bring new perspectives and to be a leader in this regard.

In our department, there is a small livestock farm consisting of 90 Morkaraman breed small cattle, including 47 sheep, 2 rams, 17 yearlings and 24 female lambs, for the purpose of Education-Training and Research activities.
